Complete Basement Remodel in Easton

Easton, PA

Basement Finishing

Project Story

This Easton home had a dark, dated lower level the family had stopped using. Vene Construction stripped it back and rebuilt it as finished living space: an open main room, a separate back room with a daylight window, a hallway with closet storage, and a new full bathroom. Wood-tone luxury vinyl plank runs through the whole level under white walls, white trim, and recessed lighting.

The Starting Point

What Needed to Change

The lower level was already finished, but it had aged: older flooring, dark walls, and a heavy, closed-in feel. The before photo shows how it started, a cluttered basement living room with low light and dated finishes. The goal was to open it up, brighten it, and make the whole level usable again.

The Solution

How the Finished Space Came Together

Vene Construction rebuilt the level from the framing out: new framing, drywall, flooring, doors, trim, and lighting. The standout is the new full bathroom, with a corner glass shower, marble-look wall tile, a pebble mosaic floor and shower niche, and black fixtures. The rest of the level was finished to match, so the living area, back room, and hallway feel like one continuous space rather than a set of separate rooms.

The Finished Result

The finished basement now works as a real second living space. The main area is open and bright, the back room adds a flexible extra space, and the new bathroom means the level can stand on its own for guests or everyday use. It no longer feels like leftover basement square footage.

Materials and finishes: Wood-tone luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring, White interior paint and trim, White six-panel interior doors, Marble-look shower wall tile, Pebble mosaic shower floor and niche accent, Black-framed corner glass shower enclosure, Black shower fixtures and hardware, Suspended ceiling in the hallway and back room, Recessed ceiling lighting
